The Haus der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland (Museum of the History of the Federal Republic of Germany) opened its doors in 1994. Its exhibitions, special events, websites and publications vividly document the history of post-war Germany. The museum also maintains and archives collections comprising around a million items. The Path of German Democracy is a project being undertaken under the auspices of the Haus der Geschichte and the city of Bonn.
